Being involved in USA Olympic Gymnastics in the 80's and 90's, was my life at that time! What an unforgettable experience that was. My friends from Karolyi's World Gymnastics, Olympic Training Center in Houston can attest to that!  I made so many friends throughout the world while I was there.  I could not have asked for a better experience.

I coached at the international level for USA Gymnastics until January of 2001. Ever heard of Bela & Martha Karolyi? I had the honor of coaching side by side with them for over a decade. From Olympic Champion Mary Lou Retton (1984), to world champion Kim Zmeskal (1991), and the 1996 Olympic Gymnastics Gold Medalist Team... I also had the pleasure of teaching at Sam Houston State University for about 6 years while still an undergraduate, because of that affiliation.  

I am currently a REALTOR for CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex.  Anyone thinking of moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area?  I will be happy to handle all of your Real Estate needs. Hi, it's been great reading all the comments and catching up on my classmates.  Over the years I have thought about you often and wondered where you were and what you were doing.  

I currently live in Killeen, Texas where we moved after my husband (Calvin) retired from the military.  I have traveled quite a bit since I left Bryan, living in three different states to include Germany and Korea.  I have two wonderful children, Corey (27 yrs old) and Quiana (24 yrs old).  Both Corey and Quiana attended Ellison High School (one of our high school rivals).  Corey received a football scholarship to Abilene Christian University.  He graduated and currently lives in Austin where he is a Personal Trainer for Gold's Gym.  Quiana graduated from Sam Houston State University where she still attends pursuing a Master's degree.  I look forward to seeing all of you in July for our class reunion.

So much has changed in our lives since the last reunion 10 years ago.  Charles and I have now been married 37 years.  Our daughter, Meagan and her husband live in Atlanta are now the proud parents of 2 beautiful kids - Lucy is 5 and Max is 2.  Our youngest son Brien will graduate from the University of Alabama in December.  Our middle child, Holden, passed away in 2005 after 18 long years of struggles with multiple disabilities.  In 2014 Charles and I began feeling called to mission service and we applied and were accepted to serve as Mission Co-workers with the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We are now living and serving in Zambia where we have been since 2016.  We are working with our partner church, the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Synod of Zambia here in Lundazi.  Charles is serving as a development specialist focusing on agriculture and I am serving as a health education programs facilitator helping to build the capacity of the local church’s health department. 

 I have been married for 32 years to Larry Smith, BHS Class  of 1977.  I have 2 beautiful girls.  Kathryn McCulloch Hardman, who is a banker in Dallas, Texas, Fightin Texas Aggie class of 2004 and Audra Kurtz, Director of Marketing at Oldham Goodwin, Fightin Texas Aggie class of 2010.  Larry is a supervisior of city  carriers with the Bryan Post Office and I have been with Thompson Derrig & Craig, PC for 38 years as an accounting assistant.  We have 4 amazing grandchildren.  3 girls and 1 boy.  Look forward  to see everyone and see where your journey has taken you.
