From Mark: I am married to Lisa Knight Maynard, and live in a wooded area on the outskirts of Round Rock, along with 5 dogs and 1 cat. Our son Spencer and his wife Erica made us grandparents in 2015 with the arrival of Robby, who is already starting to play drums. I still play the drumset, although now it is at the Life Connection Church in Round Rock instead of 6th Street in Austin.
  I spent the first 4 years after high school in the US Army, as an Electronics Technician in Military Intelligence, stationed in the Cold War-era Field Station Augsburg in West Germany, then for the next 6 years I worked as a Field Service Engineer repairing and installing computer systems for companies in Texas and California. Since then I have spent over 25 years working in the Regulatory Compliance Engineering field for computer and electronic products, covering the specialties of EMC/EMI, Wireless/Telecom, Product Safety, Design for the Environment, and Quality Management Systems. In my current job I am the Business Development and Communications Manager at American Certification Body, Inc. I am also an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Senior Member, an active committee member for the annual IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society Symposium, and a past-president of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society.
  In the past 5 years I have become a frequent contributor to In Compliance magazine, and I also train engineers on compliance engineering topics. I have two degrees from Texas State University, one in Mathematics, and the other in Business & Marketing.
  I did take a 4-year break in enginnering from 2008 to 2012, and taught math and science at Texas State University and Hutto High School. When I retire, I hope to resume teaching math at one of the area community colleges.

From Mark:Hello Everyone

Hopefully everyone is doing well. Has it really been 40 years. Here’s a little about me since HS. I’ve been married to Debbie R. since the early 80's. I’m sure many of you knew her sister Sandra R. , a popular classmate of ours that passed away. Debbie and I raised 2 sons and a daughter.

I spent 34 years in law enforcement, primarily as a police criminal investigator in the Dallas area. I retired from law enforcement a couple of years ago, so we could move back to the B/CS area to be closer to our family.

My dad is 83 now and doing well. Since moving back to the B/CS area I started raising cattle with my dad at the family farm, and enjoy doing that. Raising cattle with with my dad also allows us to spend quality time together.

From Linda:Rather than follow an academic or professional career, I gave priority being a homemaker and mother. I have two daughters, Bonnie who proudly served in Iraq for her country and Grace who is currently on a soccer scholarship in North Carolina,
In the 80's and 90's I worked as a personnel assistant for several sports celebrities. Mike Matheny, Ben McDonald, Randy Valarde, Andy Stankiewicz, Cal Eldred, Steve Sparks, Mark Dewey and Blas Minor. Milwaukee Brewers, Anaheim Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks.
One of my passions is travel. I lived in England for a short while. I have visited Paris, Barcelona, Naples, Capri and Mexico. I will be touring shortly on a sailboat thru the British Virgin Islands.
Later this yearI hope to visit Macchu Picchu, The Lost City of the Incas in Peru. One of my heros is Frida Kahlo, surrealist painter and revolutionist. I will be taking a pilgrimage to her family home and the home she shared with artist Deigo Rivera .
I am also keen on ballroom dancing ,with Argentenian Tango and International Rumba my specialities.

**This note has been added on by the reunion committee. Linda passed away one year after the reunion on July 17, 2009. We enjoyed watching her wonderful ballroom dancing and zest for life. We offer our most sincere condolences to her family.

I will see you folks in July 2018. I am still in Alaska, have been since 1983. I am still with Halliburton, have been for almost 39 years. Mom and Dad are still in Bryan so I make it down a couple of times a year. I have been married for almost 33 years. We have a 26 year old son Austin who is married to a beautiful young lady Kirsten, a 24 year old son Dakota and a 20 year old daughter Shelby. We enjoy our time in Alaska hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, snow machining, etc. If you are up our way give us a call!

2008, The year of new beginnings and the best is yet to come! July 1st, I started a new position at Rudder High School /Bryan ISD after 17 years as Bryan High School Registrar. I have two lovely children; daugther Megan Helm-Hill (age 23) Bryan High School graduate 2002;UT Austin graduate 2006; works for Philip Morris in Richmond, VA; married for one year and a son Randy Helm (age 18). Bryan High School graduate; works for Nabors Well Service and resides in College Station. I attend New Jersualem Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. in Bryan; Pastor Marie Nutall. My hobbies includes: reading Christian books and the Word of God; crafts; and baking.

When I’m driving around with the sunroof open and the seventies music blaring, I would swear I’m still 17 in my soul. But, when my knees creek as I stand up, I’m reminded that I’m not as young as I used to be.
