I think it is great that this has been put together. I get back to B/CS all the time to see my mom and in business and am always amazed that I don't run into more folks. Maybe I'm trying the wrong bars. Our company recently acquired an engineering firm in Bryan and we just cut the ribbon on a new location we moved into in the business park just past Easterwood off Jones Road. Part of my work the past year and a half has been organizing a practice in an acquisition in San Antonio and now that that has achieved some critical mass, I should be working to establish a group in the Brazos Valley and hope to spend more time in the old familiar places. Of course you can't beat Austin for the weekends! |

It is hard to believe that our 30th high school renuion is here. I can't wait to see and visit with eveyone again. Jerry & I have been married for 26 years and have 3 wonderful children. I never realized how challenging and fun it would be to raise 3 teenagers. My life is definitely an adventure living with Jerry everyday!

My Mother told me that I was on the "missing list", and, I didnt want to be on anyones missing list!! I stayed in B/CS for a couple of years, working for GTE and the Bryan Eagle. I got skinny, joined the Army, spent 6 years in The Army, stationed in Gernany as a medic. So as it turns out, all of those years of German paid off. I've had a wonderful life, done whatever I wanted, and am surrounded by a Loving Family and many friends. At the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about? I tested positive for HIV in 1986 and am lucky and blessed to be alive, so I enjoy every minute. I Love being back home in Missouri, it is where I belong and will probably never set foot in Texas again. I survived something many did not, so I do not want to be on anyone's "missing" list. I've had a great life, traveled the world, had many adventures, life changing experiences and simply could not be more happy and blessed. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a poem called "Success" . . . . google it . . . I know I am a huge Success!

I moved to Austin in '97, after living in the Boston area for about 10 years. I spend a lot of my spare time on my bikes, either on- or off-road (I weigh less now than I did in '78, and it's not all due to hair loss :-). Highlights have been cycling trips through France and Italy, to follow the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.

My fiance Al Saenz - Class of '78!
2018-04-05 16:07:47
An update to the update... Al Saenz and I are now engaged!! I'll be moving back to Bryan at the end of February 2011 when my lease is up here in Austin. No wedding date set yet. Al proposed to me on July 4th, 2010 while we were at Zilker Park watching the fireworks over Lady Bird Lake. People all around us starting applauding. It was very cool! Hope to see some of you when I move back to the old stompin' grounds!Hi guys! I've been in Austin since '86... teasip country! But I love it. I was married for 20 years, and now divorced for six. I was hired as the secretary for my church a year and a half ago, after working in a doctors' office for a while, and being a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. My son Michael turned 21 in Feb. and is currently living in York, PA, but we're trying to convince him to come back home! My daughter Victoria is 18 and just graduated from high school. She'll be heading to A&M in the fall -- whoop! A lot has happened in my life since our last reunion -- a divorce, and two brain surgeries! VERY long story, but you can read the details on the website mentioned above. I just recently added an update page, so check it out for the latest on me. UPDATE: You never know what will happen at class reunions! Al Saenz and I got reacquainted, starting e-mailing and phone calling. We had our first date on August 30, during which my purse was stolen from his car while we were in Yesterday's! But it was found the next day, so it turned out fine. We've been seeing each other ever since. It's a long-distance relationship for now, but that will change eventually. Thanks to good ole BHS and the reunion committee for getting us together! ***This note is being added by the Reunion Committee. Cindy passed away on December 27, 2017 after complications from previous chemo treatments for brain cancer. She was a good friend to many of us and lived with dignity and a kind spirit. She will be missed. Our condolences to her family. |
